Wordless Wednesday: Old Banking

September 11, 2013

Monza old banking

While at the Italian Grand Prix last week, we went on a hunt to find the old banking, at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza.

I’ve seen plenty of pictures of it previously but none of them do it justice. It is incredibly steep, I tried to climb to the top of it and failed miserably. To think that cars used to race around seems absolutely crazy when you see it.

At some point this week I will be posting about my trip to the Italian Grand Prix!

Love this shot! It really is so steep, it must have been incredibly scary to race around that old circuit. Courageous chaps back in the day. I have no excuses for not attending the Monza grand prix, it’s only a short(ish) train ride from Geneva. Maybe next year! Thanks for following my blog, it’s much appreciated ๐Ÿ™‚

  • I’ve seen so many pictures of it but none of them do the steepness justice. You just can’t imagine how they raced around it, courageous chaps indeed.

You should go if you can, the tifosi create a brilliant atmosphere.

Thanks for following back also ๐Ÿ™‚ Just joined a photography club as I finally want to learn how to use my camera and your blog has already inspired me!

Yeah I’d love to experience the atmosphere there. And since I don’t really have an allegiance to any team or driver in particular I could be an adopted Ferrari fanatic for the weekend!

I’m glad you liked my photos! Inspiring others is always my goal. Good luck with the photography club, I look forward to seeing the results! ๐Ÿ™‚
