Seeing The Band Perry has been on my list of things to do since I missed out on them last year and I very nearly missed out on them again but thankfully Spotify told me they were playing in Manchester about five days before the gig.
They played the HMV Ritz in Manchester, a venue I’ve never been to before and I wasn’t expecting to enjoy it as I really hated the HMV Institute in Birmingham, but to my surprise it was a really nice place that doesn’t feel like a fire hazard.
I’ve honestly never seen a support act as good as Lindsay Ell. What I enjoyed most was that it wasn’t just about her voice (which is brilliant by the way), she’s also a fantastic guitar player. It was refreshing to see a proper musician rather than just a singer.
Her latest single Trippin’ On Us should be out in the UK in the New Year but is out in the US already.
The Band Perry
I’ve watched a few of their live performances on YouTube and knew they were going to be good but I really didn’t expect they’d be as fantastic as they were.
From the moment they hit the stage they had everyone in the room singing and dancing. There was a real party kind of vibe in the room, which for some reason wasn’t what I was expecting and wow do they sound incredible live.
I’ve seen many bands live in my time and I reckon The Band Perry are the best I’ve seen yet. If you’re yet to see them yet, you’re in for a right treat.
