Share the love – October

Share the love October

I know I know, I say this every month but why is time going so fast!

Here are a few things I enjoyed this month. Please share the love in the comment section.

Music – There’s only one option for this, even though it came out at the end of the month and if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter it won’t come as a surprise. Drumroll please. It’s 1989 by Taylor Swift. It’s definitely a pop album and it’s very different to her previous albums but she pulls it off.

Also I feel Ed Sheeran deserves an honourable mention here. Last week I took my Mum to see him in Manchester and wow, he was fantastic.

Books – I read some fantastic books in October. My highlights of the month were Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins and I Am Sarah by Ally Malinenko. (The review for I Am Sarah will be posted tomorrow.)

Beauty – This is an easy one. LUSH’s Christmas products returned this month so the answer to this has to be their Buche de Noel cleanser. My face has been pining for this cleanser since I ran out in March.

Food – Cinnamon swirls all the way! I attempted cinnamon swirls myself and it was a bit of a fail but my Mum made some and they were delicious. We used this recipe from Jamie Oliver.

Blogs – One of my favourite blogs this month has been Notebook Sisters (the name is changing to Paper Fury soon though!). It’s a book blog run by Cait and I love her sense of humour. Her reviews and posts are well-written, full of humour and there are more GIFs than you can shake a stick at!

TV – I started watching The Mindy Project in October. I’d seen the adverts before and it didn’t look great but when I started watching it I ended up loving it.

  • Oh I feel SO HONOURED to be one of your favourite blogs for this month. OMG LET ME JUST FLAIL. *tackle hugs you* This is a post of many amazing things though. x) I don’t listen to a lot of music but I do love Ed Sheeran’s stuff and I don’t mind some of Taylor Swift’s ones (the less-country ones I like!) CINNAMON IS GORGEOUS. I’m glad you like Stephanie Perkins too! I love book #2, with Lola. XD

  • *INTERWEB HUGS* Your posts always make me chuckle and think so I just had to share your blog.
I’m beginning to wonder if there’s anything Taylor Swift can’t do? I’m expecting her next album to be Pirate Rock (yes that exists) or Rap and she’ll pull it off.
I don’t know if I’ve set my standards far too high for Lola now. I’m so nervous of reading it.

  • I have 1989 on my Christmas list!
I have been a fan of Taylor Swift from day one, even more so when I worked at an American Camp!
Definitely an album for the car!

  • 1989 is brilliant. I wasn’t a massive fan on first listen but it slowly grew on me and I love every song on it. It is definitely a car album, it’s pretty much all I’ve listened to on the way to and from work since it came out.
